Between March 17 and March 28, ICE Houston deported 174 immigrants with a combined total of 610 criminal convictions, including offenses such as homicide, sexual assault, drug trafficking, and DWI. The individuals deported were primarily from Mexico and included gang members and repeat offenders, with some having been removed from the U.S. multiple times.
Key criminal convictions among the deportees included 146 for driving while intoxicated, 83 for drug offenses, and 22 for human smuggling. Several individuals had extensive criminal records, with some having been deported more than 30 times.
ICE Houston officials emphasized their commitment to public safety and vowed to continue their efforts to remove dangerous individuals from U.S. communities. Notable deportations included a 36-year-old man who had been removed 39 times, a 48-year-old with 25 criminal convictions, and a 50-year-old gang member with a history of violent offenses.
