Biden's New Parole In Place Program
The Biden Administration recently announced a new program allowing the spouses of U.S. citizens and certain non-citizen children to apply for “Parole-In-Place,” providing temporary protection from deportation and work authorization. This program may also enable them to pursue permanent residency while remaining in the United States.
Applications will be accepted online only starting Monday August 19, 2024 by filing Form I-131F with a payment of $580 to USCIS. If approved, you can also apply for work authorization. Don't wait! Start gathering the following documents now to apply!
Documentation
- Evidence of a legally valid marriage to a U.S. citizen as of June 17, 2024 (marriage certificate)
- Evidence of your identity (state driver license or ID, certified birth certificate, passport, or any other government-issued document displaying your name, date of birth, and photo)
- Evidence of spouse’s U.S. citizenship (birth certificate, passport, or certificate of naturalization)
- Evidence of continuous physical presence in the U.S. for at least 10 years as of June 17, 2024 (rental or housing contracts, utility bills, school records, medical records, money transfers, children’s birth certificates, bank statements, income tax returns)
- Criminal records, except minor traffic tickets not involving drugs or alcohol
Requirements
- You entered the United States without inspection
- You have lived in the United States for at least 10 years and have never left
- You have a legal marriage to a citizen of the United States or a stepchild relationship with a citizen of the United States
- You do not have a certain criminal history or pose a threat to national security or public safety
- Payment of $580 to USCIS (does not include Attorney Fees)
